I’ve been in the industry for more than 40 years, and witnessed multitudes of changes in both the technological and market landscape. Along the way, we worked very hard to amass the technical knowledge and experience required to be successful in designing and mass producing high quality rubber products. Not only have we grown to employ more than 150 members of staff, we’ve also invested in the continuous development of our people, machines and systems to stay abreast of technological shifts for the betterment of our services and products. Today, I am especially proud of our presence in the market as a manufacturer of high quality rubber track pads.

We make it our primary mission to commit to our customer’s needs by offering tailored engineering and manufacturing solutions, be it from the aspects of quality, costs or technical issues. All of the effort thus far have been preparing us to live up to our vision and spirits as “Your Best Manufacturer”, and the improvements will only continue under our leadership. After I was awarded the Malaysian Rubber Research and Development Board Scholarship and successfully completed my studies, I was the Research Officer at Malaysian Rubber Board (MRB) for 36 years. During that period, I was the Head of Rubber Product Testing Unit at MRB from 1996 - 2005, Director of Technology and Engineering from 2006 - 2011, and CEO of RRIM Consult Corporation from 2011 - 2013. I also have had a 4 years attachment at the Tun Abdul Razak Research Centre (TARRC) in UK, working under the pioneer and expert in Rubber Engineering the late Dr Peter Lindsey. I joined KMK Rubber Manufacturing in 2013 out of my friendship with Mr. Rubber Wong, the CEO.

At KMK, I used my experience in ISO 17025 quality management to initiate and successfully put in place a system that enable KMK to be accredited to ISO 17025 in October 2018. I also encouraged KMK’s collaboration with MRB so they get exposure to the current R&D and product developments skills. Collaboration with other ISO 17025 accredited laboratories has also been initiated to ensure that KMK testing laboratory is at par with established laboratory across the globe.

The growth at KMK in the past 5 years has been impressive, with the testing getting accredited and an R&D group created. I can see that the company will progress, expand and endure the future challenges faced by a manufacturing entity in the international market.
